One last gathering before the summer break: on Thursday, July 23, at 8:00 pm. Although Il Palmerino will remain open throughout the summer with the exhibition dedicated to Elena Salvini Pierallini, this will be our final event before the summer break. We are delighted to welcome back our dear friend Luca Scarlini, who will guide us through a fascinating and little-known chapter of Florence's cultural history. Urban Walk : A Walk Through Modernism and Brutalism with the Duo Cristina Abati and Rilaben - July 9, 2026 from 6.30 pm to 8.15 pm
On Thursday, July 9th at 6.30 pm, the duo Cristina Abati and Rilaben will be giving some performances in itinerary, throughout the city of Florence, discovering architecture between liberty and brutalism, as part of the “ESPLORAZIONI” program for the 2026 Florentine Summer Rilaben is a multidisciplinary artist, performer, choreographer, and scenographer originally from Tuscany, who divides his time between Italy and Berlin. Workshop "Dalle Parole al Movimento" and Performances from “TONY” by and starring Alessandro Marzotto Levy - July 6, 2026 - 6.00 to 7.15 and 8.00 to 9.00
This event, part of the Esplorazioni dell’Estate Fiorentina 2026 program, consists of two parts. At 6 p.m., you’ll have the opportunity to attend and participate in the Workshop, dedicated to people with movment experience, to explore possibilities from language to movement. Alii Horti II – From the Archives to Garden Stage July 2, 2026 / 17:45 – 19:00
Villa La Quiete / the restaured garden “Alii Horti” is an all-female dance performance, directed by students, conceived by Associazione Il Palmerino through a grant from Calliope Arts Foundation, and choreographed by Sophie Robinson (University of Toronto). This performance pays tribute to the women connected to the long history of Villa La Quiete and follows the performance at Villa Pietra. Finissage
Il Palmerino was delighted to close the exhibition Flavia Arlotta: Inner Gardens with a special musical tribute: Singer Giedre Kisieliute was accompanied on the piano by pianist Xu Yifei. Moreover, readings from her letters, correspondence, and diaries were presented by Monica Francini and Douglas MacRae Brown to celebrate the end of the Finissage.
