JUDSON MONROE.
Colorado, USA. 2015 / 2016 / 2017 /2019 Judson is at home in Florence and at Il Palmerino; in fact, his attitude is that of someone who has always been part of our big family. He generally arrives in the off-season, and his visits were very frequent before he started his family. He now has three children, with Sarah, whom he met in Florence. They attended the Florence Art Academy – where he first studied painting and later taught Art History.

KAMILLE CORRY.
Utah, USA 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 / 2019. Kamille's attitude towards our Residency Programme was 'love at first sight' and her fondness for it has remained constant over time. In fact, her visits have become a ritual of sorts. Camilla, as she likes to introduce herself while in her 'second home' in Italy, has integrated into the Il Palmerino culture and appreciated the spirit of the place from day one. To see her working outside at sundown – as he

WENDY JAMES & HOWARD ITZKOWITZ.
UK - USA. 2014 / 2015 / 2016 / 2017 / 2018 – 2021 Wendy and her husband Howard Itzkowitz have become regular visitors to Il Palmerino. Wendy’s residencies take place in any season, and we like to call her ‘our youngest artist ever’. Her British wit has been tamed by a long stay in the United States and her creative exuberance is the driving force behind her large family’s development. Through her art, she seems to have the ability to seek renewal with the ligh

TRINA MERRY.
New York, USA. 2015 / 2016 A multimedia artist specialising in body painting, Trina works with bodies and their surfaces, making them disappear within the landscapes she observes, in order to become part of the surrounding environment. She works with the swiftness that distinguishes this generation, using immediacy and speed, as a means of expression. Trina's approach to the creative moment encompasses dexterity and skill and it is characterised by technology, self-determina

RACHEL PERSONETT.
Colorado, USA 2015 / 2016 / 2018 / 2021 Rachel had just graduated from the Florence Art Academy after 4 years of intense study and before heading home again, to the snow-capped mountains of Colorado, she needed some downtime. Although she remained in Florence to achieve gradual detachment from the city, Il Palmerino became a safe haven for her, where she could finally take some time to contemplate light. During the first month of her residency, it was surprising to see her
