Federigo Angeli, together with his younger brothers, Alberto and Achille, are protagonists of a twentieth-century success story.
With their art and craftsmanship, this family of Florentine artisans exported the Renaissance style overseas and, in a short time, they achieved a degree of fame that would land them numerous international commissions for wealthy clientele who wished to furnish and decorate their homes with ‘Angeli’ flair. The book is filled with archival reproductions of period photographs that either belong to the family or form part of international archives.
The catalogue of an exhibition held in 2017 and 2018 at Il Palmerino Cultural Association, which spotlights the Angeli brothers' artisan workshop and their success as painters and decorators in early twentieth-century Florence.
