Explorations is a multidisciplinary cultural project that actively engages audiences through visual arts, dance, and music. At the heart of the initiative is an exhibition dedicated to Elena Salvini Pierallini and Marilena Mosco, two key figures in the Florentine art scene since the 1970s. Hosted at Il Palmerino from June to September, the exhibition highlights their contributions to art, research, and the promotion of women’s creativity.
The project is further enriched by the participation of distinguished art historians, curators, and academics. A program of talks, conferences, conversations, and archival research presentations is planned throughout the exhibition period.
The performance section brings together artists and cultural professionals from the local area, alongside emerging international choreographers, composers, and dancers who have been awarded educational and artistic development grants. Through its three-month presence in the region, Explorations fosters interdisciplinary collaborations and site-specific creative projects.
The project strengthens the local cultural landscape and enhances the quality and scope of the summer cultural program.
