Ut musica poësis - Tuesday, May 27th at 6pm / a conference by Mauriozio Biondi with an ensemble from the Cherubini Conservatory of Florence

On Tuesday, May 27 at 6:00 PM, the Cultural Association Il Palmerino APS will host an event featuring Marcello Pagnini’s book Lingua e Musica written by music historian Maurizio Biondi, and an ensemble from the Cherubini Conservatory of Florence.

The evening will explore the integration and possible fusion of literary and musical texts, with evocative examples drawn from Alexander’s Feast, or the Power of Music, the ode composed by George Frideric Handel in 1736 based on John Dryden’s 1697 poem written for St. Cecilia’s Day.

Please note that reservation is required due to limited seating. Starting with this event, a contribution of €10 will be requested from non–members to attend the talk and the following aperitif.
